Airtrain is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

Anonymized Usage Telemetry​

Airtrain collects anonymized usage telemetry to help us improve our product:

  • What We Collect: Information about which models and functions you use most frequently
  • Why We Collect It: This data helps us identify popular features, troubleshoot issues, and prioritize improvements
  • How We Use It: We analyze usage patterns to make the platform more efficient and effective
  • Data Ownership: We do not use any of your data for training AI models

Disabling Telemetry​

You can disable anonymous telemetry collection by setting the following environment variable:

export AIRTRAIN_DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1

User Data Processing​

When you use Airtrain with various LLM providers, you should be aware of how your data is handled:

  • Data Transmission: The data you send through Airtrain is transmitted to the LLM providers using your API keys
  • Provider Policies: Since you bring your own API keys, the data policy depends on the provider you choose
  • Provider-Specific Policies:
    • Together AI, Fireworks, Groq, Sambanova: These providers do not collect or store your data
    • OpenAI and Anthropic: These providers store your data by default unless you have explicitly requested and received zero data storage permission and use the appropriate API key

We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of each LLM provider you use with Airtrain:

Beta Program Information​

If you participate in our beta program:

  • We collect additional usage information which may include installation details, import patterns, and more detailed usage metrics
  • This information helps us identify and resolve issues more quickly during the beta phase
  • Beta participants may receive additional communications about feature updates and feedback requests

Data Security​

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • All telemetry data is anonymized before storage
  • We use industry-standard encryption for any data in transit
  • Access to usage data is restricted to authorized personnel only

Changes to This Policy​

We may update this privacy policy periodically. We will notify users of any significant changes through our documentation site or email communications.
